We specialize in deep excavation shoring systems and specialty foundation systems, offering a full suite of geotechnical construction and design-build services. Our principals have completed shoring and foundation work for large projects in the Greater Toronto Area including subway stations, condominiums, communication towers, pedestrian tunnels, utility installations and bridges.

The Opportunity The Health and Safety Advisor, reporting to the CEO, will develop, implement, and monitor all Health & Safety Program for Earthline Foundations & Shoring Ltd for the Head Office in Mississauga and job sites in the GTA. This position requires regular travel in the GTA and is an immediate vacancy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise and monitor of the development, implementation, and performance of the company's Health and Safety programs.
- Notify managers and supervisors of compliance issues and assist in the development and implementation of corrective actions and plans.
- Work onsite in the field advising staff, enforcing H&S policies, and performing H&S inspections.
- Chair the company's Health and safety committee meetings & project safety meetings.
- Conduct audits, conduct workplace incident investigations, and manage health and safety reporting and KPIs.
- Be the key point of contact with the Ministry of Labour and keep up to date with Health & Safety Legislation.
- Take an advisory role in promoting a strong culture of health and safety and injury prevention.
- Conduct Health and Safety Training and track certifications and notify team members when training needs to be updated or completed.
- Has a minimum 5 years of experience in Health and Safety within the construction industry.
- Has a Post Secondary education or equivalent experience in the Health and Safety field.
- Has or is in the process of completing designations such as the NSCO (National Construction Safety Officer).
- Demonstrates leadership abilities with exceptional communication and organizational skills along with a collaborative mindset.
- Demonstrates the ability to manage third parties and sub-contractors' safety performance.
- Experienced with emergency planning and Hot Work procedures, such as getting permits and work area preparation.
- Experienced working in a unionized and non-unionized environment is an asset.
