We are looking for a dedicated Inventory Control Specialist to join our logistics team in Baltimore, Maryland. The Inventory Control Specialist will play a vital role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory. Responsibilities include conducting regular physical inventories, cycle counts, reconciling discrepancies, and implementing procedures to minimize stockouts and overstocks. This position is key to efficient warehouse management and optimizing our supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You will work closely with warehouse and operations staff to ensure data accuracy and implement best practices in inventory management. This role may involve some lifting and requires a strong commitment to workplace safety, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and full physical inventories.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Implement and maintain inventory control procedures.
- Ensure accuracy of inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Collaborate with team members to improve inventory accuracy.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and use appropriate PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
- Proficiency with WMS and inventory management software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to perform lifting tasks as needed.
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain principles.
