About
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Picker/Packer to join our dynamic warehouse team in Portland, Oregon. This role is crucial to our logistics operations, ensuring that customer orders are accurately picked, packed, and prepared for shipment. You will be responsible for retrieving items from warehouse shelves, verifying order accuracy, and securely packaging products to prevent damage during transit. This position requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with manual tasks and committed to maintaining a high level of productivity and quality.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using RF scanners and pick lists.
- Inspect items for damage before packing.
- Select appropriate packaging materials and boxes for different types of products.
- Pack items securely and efficiently, ensuring all orders are complete.
- Label packages with shipping information.
- Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and wear required PPE.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or fulfillment environment is a plus.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Comfortable with lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Basic understanding of inventory and logistics principles.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Commitment to safety and following procedures.
