About
We are hiring a motivated Picker/Packer to join our operations in Madison, Wisconsin. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately selecting items for customer orders and preparing them for shipment. Your attention to detail and efficiency are crucial for maintaining customer satisfaction and ensuring the smooth functioning of our **logistics** network. The ideal candidate will be physically capable of standing for extended periods and **lifting** items, as well as committed to adhering to all **safety** guidelines and using the necessary **PPE**. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on customer orders or pick lists.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Pack items securely and efficiently into appropriate shipping containers.
- Label packages correctly for shipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and warehouse area.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock checks as needed.
- Operate basic warehouse equipment safely.
- Adhere to all company **safety** policies and procedures.
- Wear and properly use all required **PPE**.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Picker/Packer or in a similar warehouse role is a plus.
- Ability to stand for long periods and walk throughout the warehouse.
- Capability of **lifting** up to 40 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in picking and packing.
- Basic understanding of warehouse **logistics** is beneficial.
- Commitment to workplace **safety**.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
