Job Summary:
Are you a skilled technician passionate about keeping warehouse operations running smoothly? We have an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Technician in Des Moines, Iowa. This role is vital for maintaining the equipment and infrastructure that powers our logistics center. You will be responsible for ensuring that our machinery, systems, and facilities are in optimal working condition, contributing to overall efficiency and safety.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on warehouse equipment, including conveyors, forklifts, and racking systems.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose technical issues to minimize downtime.
  • Conduct safety inspections of all warehouse machinery and equipment.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and best practices.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
  • Manage inventory of spare parts and supplies for maintenance operations.
  • Assist with the installation and setup of new equipment.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, including the correct use of PPE and lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Collaborate with the operations team to address equipment-related concerns promptly.
  • Contribute to a culture of safety and operational excellence within the logistics environment.

Qualifications:
Proven experience as a maintenance technician, preferably in a warehouse or industrial setting. Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills are required. Familiarity with a variety of warehouse equipment and systems is essential. Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics. Must possess excellent problem-solving abilities and a commitment to safety. Must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and working in a physically demanding environment. A strong understanding of logistics operations and the importance of equipment reliability is beneficial. Certification in relevant mechanical or electrical fields is a plus. Proper use of PPE is mandatory.
