We are looking for a diligent Receiving Clerk to join our bustling warehouse in Houston, Texas. In this essential role, you will be the first point of contact for all incoming goods, ensuring that deliveries are accurately documented, inspected, and processed efficiently. Your responsibilities will include unloading trucks, verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders, inspecting goods for damage, and accurately entering received items into our inventory system. This role requires meticulous attention to detail and a strong understanding of warehouse procedures within the broader Logistics network. Our commitment to a secure workplace means adherence to strict Safety protocols, including the mandatory use of PPE and training in proper Lifting techniques to prevent injuries. Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming freight from trucks and containers.
- Verify contents of shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect goods for damages, shortages, or discrepancies.
- Accurately record received inventory using the WMS or other systems.
- Tag and route received items to appropriate staging or storage areas.
- Communicate any receiving issues or discrepancies to supervisors and relevant departments.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all company policies and Safety regulations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in receiving, shipping, or warehouse operations.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems (WMS).
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Basic math and computer skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy are paramount.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
