We are hiring a Picker/Packer for our busy Orlando, Florida distribution center. This role is fundamental to our mission of delivering exceptional customer service by ensuring orders are picked accurately and packed with care. As a Picker/Packer, you will be responsible for retrieving items from warehouse shelves and preparing them for shipment. This position requires speed, accuracy, and a commitment to quality. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on order pick lists.
- Use handheld scanners or other technology to track picked items.
- Inspect picked items for quality and damage before packing.
- Pack items securely into appropriate shipping containers, ensuring product protection.
- Apply shipping labels and prepare packages for dispatch.
- Maintain a clean and organized packing station and work area.
- Adhere to all warehouse Safety guidelines and use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including cycle counts.
- Meet or exceed productivity and accuracy standards.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Picker/Packer or in a similar warehouse role is advantageous.
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced setting.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks, including moderate Lifting (up to 40 lbs).
- Strong attention to detail to ensure order accuracy.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
