In this essential role, you will be responsible for accurately picking customer orders and preparing them for shipment. Your attention to detail and efficiency will directly impact customer satisfaction. You will use a scanner or pick list to locate items within the warehouse, ensuring that the correct products and quantities are selected. After picking, you will expertly package items, ensuring they are protected during transit. This position requires a good understanding of our product lines and warehouse layout. You'll be an integral part of our logistics team, contributing to the smooth flow of goods from our facility to our customers. We are committed to maintaining a safe work environment, and all associates must strictly adhere to safety guidelines, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and proper lifting techniques. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using pick lists or scanners.
- Verify product and quantity accuracy during the picking process.
- Pack items securely and efficiently for shipment, ensuring product protection.
- Prepare orders for shipping, including labeling and documentation.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and work area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Utilize proper lifting techniques to prevent injuries.
- Contribute to team goals and overall warehouse efficiency.
- Report any discrepancies or issues to supervisors.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Picker/Packer or in a warehouse environment is a plus.
- Ability to read and understand pick lists and product labels.
- Basic math skills for order verification.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Understanding of warehouse safety protocols and PPE.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks and lift up to 30 lbs.
