We are looking for a meticulous Inventory Clerk to join our team in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. This involves conducting regular cycle counts, reconciling discrepancies, and ensuring that our inventory management system is up-to-date and precise. Your work is fundamental to our logistics operations, enabling efficient order fulfillment and preventing stockouts or overstock situations. You will work closely with the warehouse team to ensure proper stock rotation and organization. A keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to Safety are essential. This position requires individuals who are organized, methodical, and dedicated to maintaining high standards. Understanding of inventory control principles and warehouse procedures is key.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
- Update inventory records in the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Monitor stock levels and report low or excess inventory.
- Ensure proper organization and placement of inventory within the warehouse.
- Assist with receiving and put-away processes to ensure accurate inventory capture.
- Support audit processes and provide necessary documentation.
- Adhere to all Safety policies and use appropriate PPE.
- Identify and report any damaged or expired stock.
- Occasional Lifting of inventory may be required (up to 30 lbs).
Qualifications:
Previous experience as an Inventory Clerk or in a similar inventory control role. Proficiency with inventory management software and MS Excel. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Understanding of warehouse logistics and inventory principles. A commitment to maintaining a safe working environment is crucial. While not heavy, some physical activity and occasional Lifting are involved.
