About
Join our dynamic warehouse team in Sacramento, California, as a Material Handler! This essential role ensures the smooth and efficient flow of goods within our facility. You will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, locate, replenish, and stage products. Your duties will also include receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, and organizing and retrieving materials as needed. Accuracy, efficiency, and a strong commitment to safety are paramount. You'll work in close collaboration with other team members to maintain optimal warehouse operations and contribute to our overall logistics goals. Adherence to all safety guidelines, including the consistent use of PPE, is non-negotiable.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery to move materials throughout the warehouse.
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
- Accurately stock and store materials in designated warehouse locations.
- Pick, pack, and stage materials for outbound shipments.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through regular checks and system updates.
- Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and safe, ensuring all areas are free of obstructions.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Perform routine equipment checks and report any maintenance needs.
- Assist with cycle counts and inventory audits.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Material Handler or Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift certification is mandatory.
- Proficiency in operating various types of forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting, up to 75 lbs regularly, and engage in physical activities such as standing, walking, bending, and squatting for extended periods.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse safety standards and procedures.
- Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Understanding of inventory control and logistics principles.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and consistent use of PPE.
