About
We are seeking energetic and reliable Picker/Packers to join our dynamic warehouse team in Detroit, Michigan. As a Picker/Packer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and efficient order fulfillment. Your primary responsibilities will involve accurately picking items from warehouse shelves based on order sheets and then carefully packing them for shipment. This role requires attention to detail to minimize errors and ensure customer satisfaction. You will work closely with other warehouse staff and supervisors to maintain a smooth workflow and contribute to the overall success of our logistics operations.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from designated warehouse locations using pick lists or scanning equipment.
- Inspect picked items for damage or defects.
- Pack items securely and efficiently into appropriate shipping containers, ensuring product protection during transit.
- Label packages correctly with shipping information.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Participate in inventory counts and stock replenishment as needed.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or picking/packing environment is a plus.
- Ability to read and understand pick lists and order information.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and perform frequent bending, stooping, and reaching.
- Must be able to perform lifting of up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Understanding of basic logistics principles is beneficial.
