We are seeking an experienced Forklift Operator for our Madison, Wisconsin location. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently maneuvering materials within our warehouse. This includes loading and unloading trucks, moving inventory, and supporting various logistics operations. Your role is critical to maintaining the flow of goods and ensuring the accuracy of our stock. A strong commitment to safety is essential, and all operators must strictly adhere to company policies, including the mandatory use of PPE and safe operating procedures. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of safe forklift operation and a thorough understanding of warehouse logistics. You should be able to work independently and as part of a team, contributing to a productive and safe work environment. Experience with various types of forklifts is highly advantageous. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts to move, stack, and unstack palletized materials.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely.
- Perform pre-operation checks on forklifts and report any issues.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area within the warehouse.
- Assist with inventory control tasks, such as cycle counts.
- Follow all safety guidelines and wear appropriate PPE at all times.
- Support overall logistics and warehouse operations as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift certification or demonstrated experience.
- Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution setting.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety protocols and logistics principles.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
