We are seeking a meticulous Inventory Clerk to join our logistics team in Grand Rapids, Michigan. As an Inventory Clerk, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory through diligent tracking, counting, and reconciliation processes. This role is critical for efficient operations, ensuring that stock levels are up-to-date and readily available. You will play a key part in our supply chain management, working closely with warehouse associates and supervisors. Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to verify stock accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes.
- Update inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS) accurately and in a timely manner.
- Monitor inventory levels and report on stock status, shortages, or overages.
- Receive and process incoming stock, ensuring proper put-away and labeling.
- Assist with the organization and layout of warehouse storage areas to optimize space and accessibility.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Support the logistics team with inventory-related tasks and reporting.
- Safely manage the Lifting and movement of inventory items as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience as an Inventory Clerk or in a similar warehouse/logistics role.
- Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory control software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Understanding of warehouse Safety procedures.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team.
- Familiarity with logistics principles is beneficial.
