We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Order Picker to join our dynamic logistics team in Indianapolis, Indiana. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately selecting and preparing customer orders for shipment within our fast-paced warehouse environment. This role is crucial to our supply chain operations, ensuring that our customers receive the correct items in a timely manner. You will work closely with other warehouse associates and supervisors to maintain efficient workflow and achieve daily targets. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to safety. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves according to order sheets or pick lists.
- Use RF scanners and other warehouse equipment to track inventory and confirm picks.
- Verify product accuracy and quantities before packing or staging for shipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all items are stored properly.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Meet or exceed daily picking quotas and performance metrics.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned, such as stocking or cycle counting.
- Demonstrate proficiency in safe Lifting techniques to prevent injuries.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a similar warehouse role is a plus.
- Ability to read and understand pick lists and product labels.
- Basic understanding of inventory management principles.
- Comfortable working in a warehouse setting, which may include varying temperatures.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds consistently throughout the shift.
- Strong commitment to Safety and teamwork.
- Experience with RF scanning technology is beneficial.
