About
We are looking for a highly skilled Inventory Control Specialist to manage and maintain the accuracy of our inventory within our Seattle, Washington distribution center. This pivotal role requires a meticulous individual who can implement and oversee effective inventory management strategies to support our logistics operations. You will be responsible for ensuring that our stock levels are accurate, discrepancies are minimized, and all inventory movements are meticulously tracked. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive cycle counts and physical inventory audits to verify stock accuracy against WMS records.
- Investigate and resolve all inventory discrepancies, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Maintain the integrity and accuracy of inventory data within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Monitor inventory levels, identifying slow-moving or excess stock and reporting on inventory health.
- Develop, implement, and refine inventory control procedures to optimize efficiency and reduce loss.
- Collaborate closely with receiving, put-away, picking, and shipping teams to ensure proper inventory handling throughout the logistics process.
- Ensure all inventory items are correctly identified, stored, and managed according to established standards.
- Assist in training warehouse personnel on inventory control best practices and safety protocols.
- Champion a strong safety culture by adhering to all safety regulations and promoting safe work habits, including the use of PPE.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely when required for inventory movements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
- Proven experience (3+ years) in inventory control or warehouse management.
- Advanced proficiency with WMS and inventory management software.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Outstanding attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Physical ability to work in a warehouse environment, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Demonstrated knowledge of logistics operations and inventory control principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with required PPE and a proactive approach to safety.
