About
We are seeking a skilled Material Handler to join our logistics team in St. Louis, Missouri. This role is essential for the smooth and efficient movement of materials throughout our warehouse. You will be responsible for operating material handling equipment, loading and unloading trucks, and organizing materials within the facility. The ideal candidate will have experience with various types of warehouse equipment and a strong commitment to safety protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Your contributions will directly impact our operational efficiency and product integrity. We are looking for a reliable individual who can work collaboratively with the rest of the warehouse team.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring accurate counts and proper handling of materials.
- Move materials from receiving to storage areas, and from storage to production or shipping.
- Organize and maintain inventory in designated warehouse locations.
- Perform routine checks on equipment to ensure proper working order.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Assist with cycle counts and inventory verification.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Support the logistics team in various operational tasks as needed.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role.
- Certification to operate forklifts or other relevant machinery is a strong asset.
- Ability to perform frequent lifting of materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Good understanding of warehouse safety procedures and practices.
- Familiarity with logistics and inventory management principles.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
