We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Clerk for our logistics hub in San Francisco, California. This role is crucial for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. You will be responsible for tracking inventory levels, conducting cycle counts, reconciling discrepancies, and managing stock rotation. A thorough understanding of inventory management systems and a commitment to Safety are essential. Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Monitor stock levels and report low stock items to management.
- Implement and manage stock rotation strategies (e.g., FIFO).
- Ensure proper labeling and identification of all inventory items.
- Assist with receiving and put-away processes to ensure correct inventory recording.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Generate inventory reports as required by management.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and organization of warehouse logistics.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certification in logistics or inventory management is a plus.
- Proven experience as an inventory clerk or in a similar warehouse role.
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting of up to 30 lbs.
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety practices and the importance of PPE.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Good communication skills.
