Associate Mechanical Design Engineer (Data Centres) – London Join
TRACTEBEL
as an Associate Mechanical Design Engineer in our London office. Red is an expanding international M&E consultancy dedicated to zero carbon‑built environments.
Responsibilities
Run and manage major mechanical and electrical engineering projects across building types.
Develop and specify controls, instruments, and operating systems for building services.
Prepare and review project reports, cost and profit diagnoses, and risk monitoring analyses.
Represent the company at technical meetings with clients, professional teams and contractors.
Ensure engineering calculations and drawings meet industry and legal standards.
Lead coordination of engineering services and support the delivery of projects in line with the RED Project Delivery Process.
Qualifications
BSc/BEng or equivalent in an engineering discipline.
Chartered Engineer status (MCIBSE/MIEE or HND/HNC + experience).
Significant experience of specification design for a range of building types.
Knowledge of key health and safety issues, contract and business law, and relevant UK standards/codes.
Strong leadership, mentoring and presentation skills.
Experience with invoicing, credit control and project financial management.
Ethical conduct in line with the Group Ethics Charter.
