We specialise in the recruitment of high quality candidates in the Blockchain sector. We have an excellent opportunity for a skilled Blockchain Engineer on a remote basis. The role holder will develop applications solutions and smart contracts.
Remote Contract, 6-12 months : £130,000 - £180,000 (pro-rata), dependent on experience.
Blockchain Engineer’s Core Duties
Design and implement decentralised applications and smart contracts on several platforms
Determine blockchain protocols, consensus mechanisms, and data structures
Remain up to date on the latest technologies and frameworks
Integrate appropriate tools and libraries to enhance blockchain functionality
Conduct security audits to ensure the confidentiality of blockchain data
Optimise blockchain performance and deal with scalability challenges
Work with software developers, system administrators, and stakeholders to integrate solutions
Collaborate with third parties to implement solutions
Test and debug blockchain applications to resolve issues
Implement best practices for code quality, testing, and documentation
Research emerging blockchain technologies and propose innovative solutions
Contribute to other relevant projects
Prepare documentation on solutions, including architecture, deployment, and maintenance
Train internal teams on blockchain technologies
Blockchain Engineer’s Skills Required
Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
Proven experience as a Blockchain Engineer or similar
Highly proficient in blockchain protocols, consensus algorithms, and cryptographic techniques
Strong programming skills in Solidity, Java, Python, or C++, etc.
Good experience with blockchain development frameworks (e.g., Ethereum, Hyperledger, Binance Smart Chain)
Knowledge of decentralised finance (DeFi) (non-fungible tokens (NFTs) is desirable)
Familiarity with smart contract security best practices
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Effective communication and teamworking
