Job Summary:
Become a key player in our Sacramento, California warehouse as a Material Handler! This role is fundamental to the efficient movement of goods within our facility, supporting our extensive logistics network. You will be responsible for moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting merchandise. This position demands physical stamina, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to workplace safety.
Responsibilities:
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery to transport materials throughout the warehouse.
  • Load and unload trucks and containers efficiently and safely.
  • Receive, identify, and sort incoming materials according to established procedures.
  • Transport raw materials to production areas or finished goods to shipping areas.
  • Stack and arrange materials in designated storage areas, ensuring stability and accessibility.
  • Perform routine checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any issues.
  • Assist with inventory control by counting and recording the movement of materials.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work environment, free from hazards.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Support other warehouse operations as needed, contributing to overall team success.
Requirements:
Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is required. Must be proficient in operating various types of material handling equipment, including forklifts. Ability to perform frequent lifting of up to 70 pounds is essential. A solid understanding of warehouse safety standards and best practices is crucial. Experience with logistics and inventory management is beneficial. You should be comfortable working in a physically demanding environment and be able to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods. Excellent attention to detail and a strong work ethic are highly valued. Must be able to work effectively as part of a team. A commitment to following safety guidelines, including the correct use of PPE, is non-negotiable.
