As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including receiving shipments, organizing inventory, preparing orders for shipment, and operating material handling equipment. Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming materials and shipments.
- Store materials accurately and systematically in designated warehouse locations.
- Operate material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts) safely and proficiently.
- Pick, pack, and stage materials for outgoing shipments.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with cycle counting processes.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment according to established standards.
- Load outbound shipments onto trucks.
- Ensure proper labeling and documentation for all material movements.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Support team members in achieving daily operational goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role is preferred.
- Physical ability to perform tasks requiring frequent lifting (up to 50 pounds), standing, walking, and bending.
- Experience with operating forklifts and other warehouse machinery is a significant advantage.
- Excellent organizational skills and a keen attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork and communication abilities.
- Basic understanding of logistics and inventory management.
- Willingness to follow all safety protocols and utilize required PPE.
