Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and efficient Material Handler to join our busy logistics hub in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This role is integral to the smooth functioning of our warehouse operations, ensuring that materials are managed effectively from receipt to dispatch. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including receiving shipments, organizing inventory, preparing orders for shipment, and operating material handling equipment. Key Responsibilities:
  • Receive, unload, and verify incoming materials and shipments.
  • Store materials accurately and systematically in designated warehouse locations.
  • Operate material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts) safely and proficiently.
  • Pick, pack, and stage materials for outgoing shipments.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with cycle counting processes.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment according to established standards.
  • Load outbound shipments onto trucks.
  • Ensure proper labeling and documentation for all material movements.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Support team members in achieving daily operational goals.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role is preferred.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks requiring frequent lifting (up to 50 pounds), standing, walking, and bending.
  • Experience with operating forklifts and other warehouse machinery is a significant advantage.
  • Excellent organizational skills and a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong teamwork and communication abilities.
  • Basic understanding of logistics and inventory management.
  • Willingness to follow all safety protocols and utilize required PPE.
