About
We are seeking a diligent Fulfillment Associate to join our team at a key distribution center in Des Moines, Iowa. This role is crucial for ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of customer orders from start to finish. As a Fulfillment Associate, you will be involved in picking, packing, and preparing orders for shipment, contributing to the overall success of our logistics operations. A strong focus on accuracy, efficiency, and a commitment to workplace safety are essential. You will be a valued member of our warehouse team, working collaboratively to meet daily targets.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves according to order requirements using scanners or pick lists.
- Inspect picked items for accuracy and quality before packing.
- Pack orders using appropriate materials to ensure safe delivery.
- Prepare shipments by labeling packages and staging them for pickup.
- Operate material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks, safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in line with company standards.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, particularly those related to safety and logistics.
- Wear all required PPE, including safety glasses and gloves, at all times.
- Participate in inventory management activities, such as cycle counting.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding workflow and any issues encountered.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse, fulfillment, or logistics role is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and order fulfillment processes.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and meet productivity targets.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to following all safety regulations and wearing required PPE.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
