Join our advanced logistics facility in Dallas, Texas, as an Inventory Control Specialist. We are seeking a sharp and organized professional to manage and maintain the accuracy of our extensive inventory. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, performing audits, and implementing procedures to ensure optimal inventory levels and minimize losses. This role is critical to the efficiency and success of our warehouse operations, directly impacting our ability to meet customer demands. You will utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory movement and generate insightful reports. Maintaining a safe working environment is paramount; adherence to all safety regulations and the correct utilization of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory for all team members. The position requires a keen analytical mind, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. While not a primary function, occasional lifting may be required to access or verify inventory. Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Investigate, analyze, and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
- Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures.
- Monitor inventory accuracy and identify root causes of errors.
- Generate inventory reports and provide analysis to management.
- Collaborate with warehouse operations, purchasing, and finance departments.
- Ensure the proper identification, labeling, and storage of inventory.
- Participate in the development and implementation of system improvements for inventory management.
- Maintain a clean and organized inventory environment.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and use appropriate PPE.
- Assist with tasks involving inventory verification, which may include some lifting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a similar role.
- Proficiency with WMS software and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of logistics and supply chain best practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with safety procedures and the use of PPE.
