Job Summary:
We are looking for a proactive Material Handler to join our busy Chicago, Illinois facility. This role is central to the efficient movement and organization of materials within our warehouse. You will be responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing raw materials and finished goods, utilizing material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks. This position requires physical capability, a sharp eye for detail, and an unwavering commitment to safety and the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). You will be a key contributor to our logistics team, ensuring that materials are readily available for production and shipping processes. The role involves substantial physical work, including regular and significant lifting.
Responsibilities:
  • Receive, identify, and store incoming materials and products.
  • Transport materials within the warehouse using appropriate equipment.
  • Load and unload materials from trucks and other vehicles.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks and maintain accurate records.
  • Deliver materials to designated areas for production or shipment.
  • Ensure all work areas are kept clean, organized, and safe.
  • Strictly follow all safety regulations and use required PPE.
  • Perform tasks that require lifting and moving items weighing up to 60 pounds.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience as a Material Handler, warehouse associate, or in a similar role.
  • Experience operating forklifts and other powered industrial trucks is a plus.
  • Physical ability to perform strenuous tasks, including frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of materials.
  • Knowledge of safe material handling practices and the importance of PPE.
  • Understanding of warehouse logistics and inventory control.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong commitment to teamwork.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
