About
Responsibilities
Work in accordance with all health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of staff and visitors
Ensure that all products are manufactured and assembled in accordance with the relevant standards
Support the maintenance and development of the Quality Management System to ensure continued AS9100, Airworthiness/Regulatory, OEM and Customer compliance
Drive defect prevention and embed a culture of built in quality across production and the new product introduction processes
Work within integrated project teams throughout the product lifecycle to influence the Engineering, Supply Chain and Operational processes to ensure that Quality standards can be achieved on a repeated basis
Conform test articles and test plans to the required standards
Ensure that new products are developed and introduced in accordance with the VNPI process
Support customer and OEM milestone reviews
Create Quality Alerts, Quality Inspection Plans, First Article Inspection Reports & Product Quality Standards
Provide on the ground Quality support to assembly areas, ensuring we respond with solutions in a timely manner
Support the review of Engineering drawings and technical data
Support supplier quality activities, including non conformance management and continuous improvement initiatives
Work alongside manufacturing and assembly to improve operational performance
Lead MRB disposition and investigations
Lead and facilitate quality improvement activities through structured problem solving
Support the internal and external audit programme

Requirements
3 years relevant experience in a Quality or Engineering role
Degree or a higher-level qualification, such as HNC/HND, in a relevant discipline
Demonstrate working knowledge of AS9100 or ISO9001 standards
Knowledge of quality management principles, tools and techniques
Experience of working within a manufacturing and/or a Quality environment
Effective communication skills - both verbal and written
Proven ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative to achieve targets
Possess strong IT skills including Microsoft Office applications
Excellent problem solving and decision making
The ability to interpret technical drawings
Experience liasing with customers and suppliers
