Job Description Responsible for managing a new team initially consisting of seven sales professionals based in Manchester and Leixlip.
The team will focus on driving on‑time operational services support renewals, improving customer net dollar retention and building strong customer relationships, developing new business opportunities, and increasing market share. Works strategically with customers and/or strategic partners within a defined account assignment or territory. Manages the performance of individual contributors and the overall team and grows and develops talent within the organization.
This is a new role managing a new team; the successful applicant will need to demonstrate how they will quickly build team capability, effectiveness and culture. The role will typically require the manager to be onsite in Manchester Monday to Thursday.
Management Level Definition Applies advanced Operational Services subject matter knowledge to manage staff activities in solving common and complex business/technical issues within established policies. Provides guidance on process improvements and recommends changes aligned with business tactics and strategy for the area of responsibility. Plans, manages and monitors operational/tactical activities of direct reports. Reports to UKIMEA Operational Services Sales Leader.
Responsibilities
Manage a team initially consisting of 7 DSRs, who will lead defined territories of named accounts focusing on installed base renewals, Operational Services new business growth and Day One contracts.
Deliver budget, team forecasting and ensure high levels of team sales hygiene via SFDC.
Direct daily work activities/priorities, people recruitment and development, cost management, and direction‑setting within the area of responsibility.
Coach and mentor employee direct reports. May coach and mentor non‑direct reports as needed. Manage FPR process for company employees. Manage team and individual performance.
Advise management and peers on matters of importance to the area(s) of responsibility. Propose/influence direction‑setting.
Assign responsibilities, provide direction, leadership, and coaching, remove barriers as needed to enable direct reports to execute their roles and achieve objectives and goals.
Create a working environment that is conducive to individual growth, high performance, is challenging and rewarding. Achieve diversity and other HR goals.
Establish and manage relationships with customer subject matter experts and appropriate customer management, with an objective of maintaining and building the business.
Education And Experience Required
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or related field or equivalent work experience.
May hold Master’s or advanced degree in related field. Typically 8+ years of relevant experience.
