About the Job This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in expanding NielsenIQ’s (NIQ) footprint within the media space in Europe. Your primary responsibility will be to engage with media agencies, developing and executing a strategic sales plan to increase revenue through NIQ Data-as-a-Service solutions. Leveraging your industry expertise, you will drive and develop client relationships, optimise client investments and help agencies utilise NIQ’s data to improve audience targeting, planning and campaign measurement.
We are looking for someone with digital and data sales experience. The ideal candidate will be experienced, determined, self‑motivated and willing to go the extra mile while hunting for new business.
We are looking for an out‑of‑the‑box thinker who can capitalise on new opportunities and thrive in a strong team‑based environment. This is for a self‑starter with contacts across media agencies both from a strategic and tactical point of view.
Your Responsibilities Responsible for prospecting, networking and developing new business opportunities with media agencies.
Employ a consultative approach to deeply understand clients’ needs and position NIQ solutions to solve their business challenges.
Evangelise NIQ data assets with media agencies to drive pipeline on custom and syndicated audiences.
Communicate effectively with clients both written and orally and provide excellent customer support.
Generate sales leads and maintain a pipeline of sales opportunities across a portfolio of clients consistent with NIQ’s growth strategy.
Negotiate annual or multi‑year contracts and ensure maximum renewal rate.
Develop insightful presentations and educate clients on current NIQ capabilities and resources.
Achieve sales quota consistent with NIQ margin goals and delivery expectations.
Collaborate within internal Commercial and Product teams to ensure client satisfaction, renewal and growth for each account.
Network within NIQ to unlock advertiser relationships and work from a two‑pronged approach with the Agency and Advertiser to attain and develop revenue.
Your Qualification Minimum 8–10 years of experience in business development or sales, preferably within the media agency, advertising tech or data analytics space.
Deep understanding of audience data measurement solutions and media buying processes within media agencies.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and growing revenue with large enterprise clients.
Exceptional relationship‑building, negotiation and communication skills.
Strong sales activity: outreach meetings, pipeline management, deal closing.
Experience in scoping and developing proposals and negotiation strategies.
Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
Excellent sales pipeline management skills with a track record of predictability and consistency.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced dynamic environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office software.
BA with a concentration in Communications, Marketing or Media, plus.
Additional European language – a plus.
Senior contacts in media & social agencies – a must.
