Maintenance Technician Role

We are seeking a proactive Maintenance Technician to perform maintenance activities and manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct regular maintenance on production equipment and facilities.
  2. Troubleshoot issues, identify problems, and repair machinery.
  3. Update maintenance records with current status of repairs.
  4. Evaluate equipment reliability to optimize production line productivity and minimize downtime.
  5. Fabricate and assemble HVAC Sheet Metal fittings.
  6. Operate sheet metal fabrication machines, including plasma cutters, spot welders, riveters, press brakes, etc.
  7. Support the engineering department with equipment installation and start-up.
  8. Perform upgrades on equipment as directed by engineering.
  9. Work on multiple tasks simultaneously.
  10. Communicate effectively with colleagues to resolve operational issues.
  11. Maintain a team-oriented approach to achieve production and quality goals.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of experience in machine maintenance, working with rotating machines, gantries, and robotics.
  • Prior experience in troubleshooting and repairing various types of production & facility equipment.
  • Knowledge of mechanical disassembly and assembly techniques.
  • Awareness of mechanical components, such as gearboxes, punches, conveyors, and actuators.
  • Understanding of mains voltage and low voltage components, switchgear, motors, and drives.
  • Awareness of pneumatic and hydraulic systems and components.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
  • Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, precision tools, and electrical instruments.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple projects.
  • Strong computer literacy using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet Explorer or similar.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Fluency in Spanish is required.
  • Good interpersonal skills and strong relationship-building abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy items.
