Job Overview- We're seeking a skilled team member to support our Prepared Foods department in preparation, counter service, sanitation, and product stocking.
- Cut, prepare, and serve a variety of hot and cold foods, including meats, cheeses, sandwiches, burritos, wraps, salads, and pizza.
- Sample products for customers and ensure high-quality offerings.
- Stock hot and cold cases and displays with prepared foods from the kitchen, walk-in preparation, and refrigerators.
- Verify in-stock product dates to ensure freshness and rotate when necessary.
- Bail and consolidate recyclables efficiently.
- Assist Team Leaders in organizing and displaying volume and seasonal items.
- Complete spoilage, sampling, temperature, and sweep worksheets as required.
- Participate in periodic inventory checks and maintain accurate records.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing needs promptly and effectively, and model suggestive selling techniques.
- Maximize sales potential through effective procedures for prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising product.
- Follow established procedures, including Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary working environment, adhering to WFM cleanliness and safety standards.
- Perform opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned, ensuring accuracy of signs and pricing.
- Immediately report any safety hazards or violations.
- Demonstrate proactive selling skills.
- Acquire basic knowledge of all products carried in the department.
- Show strong attention to detail.
- Exhibit excellent communication skills and a willingness to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Effectively communicate information to fellow team members, customers, and vendors in a clear and respectful manner.
