Job Responsibilities:

1. Ensure a fresh and appealing display by checking quality, maintaining clean cases and shelves, rotating products, filling ice tables, and performing other assigned duties.
2. Maintain accurate department signage and pricing.
3. Keep back stock organized and well-maintained.
4. Contribute to a safe, clean, and well-organized working and shopping environment.
5. Assist with the sampling program, keeping sample areas full, clean, and visually appealing.
6. Clean various equipment, glass, signs, coolers, smokers, floors, and drains as needed.
7. Prepare, skin, bone, cook, or smoke fish, box, label, and date cooked items.
8. Participate in periodic inventory checks.
9. Arrive at workstations on time, properly groomed, dressed, and ready to work; adhere to all scheduled shifts and attend required training sessions.
10. Provide excellent customer service by promptly addressing customer needs and modeling suggestive selling techniques.
11. Maximize sales potential through effective product preparation, storage, rotation, stocking, and merchandising procedures.
12. Comply with established safety procedures and follow Weights and Measures guidelines, health and sanitation regulations, and safe work practices.
13. Maintain a clean and sanitary workspace and ensure that equipment meets WFM cleanliness and safety standards.
14. Perform opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned and verify accuracy of signs and pricing.
15. Immediately report any safety hazards or violations.
16. Carry out additional tasks assigned by store, regional, or national leadership.

• Capacity to learn basic knowledge of all products carried in the department.
• Visual examination skills for quality and freshness.
• Read labels and familiarize yourself with various products.
• Assist with inventory checks.

Additionally, new entry-level Team Members who successfully complete their first 90 days of employment and remain actively employed in an eligible role may be eligible for a base rate increase after their 90-day anniversary.
