Responsibilities
Provide expert support for the network infrastructure underpinning customer hosting environments.
Complete network tasks on schedule and in line with agreed plans.
Collaborate with architects, project managers, and stakeholders to evaluate and propose suitable network solutions.
Develop, implement, and test disaster recovery and network failover plans.
Maintain operational acceptance criteria for network solutions and ensure delivery teams meet them before production handover.
Ensure 24×7 monitoring of network components for availability, capacity, and performance.
Follow agreed network and access processes, resolving events, incidents, and requests promptly using the appropriate tools.
Advise customers and stakeholders on live network solutions.
Provide 24×7 support as part of the hosting operations team.
Experience Required
Minimum of CCNP level knowledge and experience
Minimum of 5 years in a senior role with a mixture of exposure to Cisco data center technologies in both support, design and implementation roles
Strong knowledge and hands‑on experience of configuring, troubleshooting and supporting Cisco equipment in a data center multi‑tenant environment, specifically Cisco Nexus switches, Cisco ASR and Catalyst routers, Cisco ASA and Cisco FTD firewalls
Strong practical experience of following ITIL processes in a 24x7 operations environment with tight SLA and security compliance requirements.
Practical experience with Cisco Nexus 3000/9000 series, Cisco ASA & FTD firewalls, multi‑context mode firewalling
Desirable Skills
F5 GTM/LTM/ASM/APM, route domains, partitions, pools, nodes, iRules
Kemp Loadmaster experience
Cisco WSA, Cisco Secure Network Analytics, Cisco Defense Orchestrator, Cisco Umbrella, WCCP
Knowledge and experience of Cisco MDS products, FC/FCoE beneficial
Working knowledge of MPLS
Understanding of certificate PKI management
Knowledge of configuration management, scripting and automation
