We are recruiting an experienced Mobile Hose Engineer in Birmingham, West Midlands, United Kingdom to grow the business in this area.
Hydraquip's engineers are trained to current industry standards with additional training given where required to ensure all service jobs are completed to the highest standard.
Role Overview Your daily duties will mainly include attending to the sites, replacing hoses and hydraulic components for our clients, liaising with existing customers, reporting job processes through the company mobile app, and updating orders. The role involves also developing the business with existing and new customers. Basic hours of work are 8 am to 5:00 pm Monday to Friday (42.5 hours a week). As the Mobile Hydraulic Hose Engineer you will be expected to be part of an on‑call rota (usually one week a month) which will require work onsite at nights and weekends if needed. This will be rewarded by on‑call retainer, overtime pay + commission for being on a call‑out.
Responsibilities
Attend job sites and replace hoses and hydraulic components
Liaise with existing customers and develop new business
Report job processes through the company mobile app
Update orders and maintain accurate records
Work unsupervised and be customer‑focused
Participate in an on‑call rota (usually one week a month), providing night/weekend service as required
Qualifications
Hard‑working and reliable, able to work unsupervised and be customer‑focused
Previous experience working in the hose replacement industry or in a mechanical role such as forklift/plant fitter, HGV fitter, agricultural fitter, etc.
Confidence in canvassing new and existing customers
UK manual driving licence, minimum 3 years, maximum 3 penalty points

Starting basic salary of £28,500 - £34,000 with potential to earn more through overtime & uncapped commissions
