What You’ll Do
Oversee the preconstruction phase of projects, ensuring designs meet client specifications and regulatory requirements Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to create cost-effective and efficient designs Manage the project design budget and timeline Work closely with the client team liaising on multiple projects Maintain effective communication with the customer on all agreed actions to ensure that any issues are resolved to their satisfaction Lead design team meetings and provide regular updates to senior management on project progress Ensure all projects adhere to company standards and industry regulations Facilitate communication between all project stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met Implement and maintain quality control procedures throughout the design and construction process What We’re Looking For
Proven experience as a Design Manager for a main contractor Experience in the construction industry, specifically within preconstruction on design and build, new build and refurbishment projects Good knowledge of current CDM and Building Regulations Experience of managing document management systems Experience overseeing the preconstruction phase of projects to ensure designs meet client specifications and regulatory requirements Ability to collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to create cost-effective and efficient designs Ability to work closely with the client team liaising on multiple projects Ability to maintain effective communication with the customer on all agreed actions to ensure that any issues are resolved to their satisfaction Ability to ensure all projects adhere to company standards and industry regulations Ability to facilitate communication between all project stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met Experience implementing and maintaining quality control procedures throughout the tender design process Personal Attributes
