We are recruiting for a Head of Indirect Sales Operations, who will be responsible for the operational support and delivery of the Indirect Sales teams across Merlin, driving operational excellence while maximizing revenue opportunities through a solution‑based approach. The Head of Indirect Sales Operations will indirectly manage the four regional Sales & Operations Executives supporting the Indirect Sales teams – UK, EU, APAC and North America.
Responsibilities
Provide operational support and delivery for Indirect Sales teams across Merlin.
Independently manage the four regional Sales & Operations Executives (UK, EU, APAC, North America).
Support new business development activities on a global level from new products to partnerships or new attractions.
Ensure best practice and identify new solutions with the relevant tracking and documentation in place to further enhance the activities of the Indirect Sales Team.
Collaborate with various departments across Merlin to identify areas for improvement and documentation of processes, ensuring compliance and driving efficiencies across digital platforms to maximize accurate data capture.
Work closely with the Digital & Data teams to continuously improve the use of technology and prepare new business cases for system improvements, efficiencies, optimisation and budgetary considerations.
Qualifications & Experience
Must have at least 5 years’ experience working in leisure or entertainment industry.
Experience managing a team is essential, ideally a large team.
Basic project management skills & experience is advantageous, with a strategic and tactical mindset.
Experience working with Admissions / Ticketing Systems and an understanding of a B2B sales environment is preferred.
Proficient in Excel, with significant experience analysing and utilising large data sets.
An exceptional communicator with the ability to manage and influence stakeholders of all levels, both internal and external.
Able to develop and track initiatives and change management in alignment with business cases as necessary.
