About

Hireco is one of the UK’s fastest-growing specialists in trailers, trucks and LCV rental and contract hire. We work with some of the most demanding fleet operators and logistics businesses in the country – and we’re known for being commercially sharp, operationally strong, and easy to do business with.
This is not a corporate box‑ticking role!
It’s a high‑impact, front‑line sales role for someone who wants autonomy, responsibility and the opportunity to build something meaningful within a business that is investing, growing and thinking differently.
The Role As an Area Sales Manager, you’ll be responsible for driving revenue growth within your territory, winning new business and developing long‑term relationships with fleet operators and logistics providers. You’ll be trusted to run your patch like your own business, supported by strong pricing, operations and customer service teams behind you.
What You’ll Be Doing
Develop and execute a regional sales strategy to achieve and exceed growth targets
Identify, win and manage new contract hire and rental opportunities
Build strong, credible relationships with fleet operators, logistics providers and key decision‑makers
Grow and retain existing accounts by delivering value, service and commercial insight
Prepare and present compelling, well‑structured commercial proposals
Stay close to market trends, competitor activity and customer demand
Work collaboratively with internal teams (pricing, operations, marketing, customer service)
Maintain a robust sales pipeline, forecasting accurately and reporting performance
Use CRM confidently to manage activity, pipeline and customer data
What We’re Looking For
Proven B2B sales experience, ideally within trailers, HGVs, LCVs or commercial vehicle rental/contract hire (strong candidates from adjacent sectors will also be considered)
Solid understanding of fleet operations and long‑term hire contracts
A track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
Confident negotiator with excellent communication and relationship‑building skills
Self‑motivated, organised and comfortable managing a regional territory
Commercially minded – you understand margin, utilisation and long‑term value
Willing and able to travel regularly to customer sites
Full UK driving licence
Why This Role Stands Out
Join a business that is growing, investing and evolving
High‑quality product range and strong operational support
Real autonomy and ownership of your territory
Opportunity to grow with the business as Hireco continues to expand nationally
