For over 25 years, families and physicians in the western suburbs have trusted our team to provide therapies tailor made to their child’s special interests and needs. We are a unique, therapist owned, non-ABA, outpatient pediatric enrichment center that provides SP/Feeding/OT/PT, child and family therapy, aquatic therapy, hippotherapy, DMI intensives, NICU follow-up care, Life-Skills Clinic and social groups. Another integral and unique aspect to our center is our HUMMINGBIRD CHILDREN'S ACADEMY - a therapeutic preschool co-taught by SPEECH, OT, PT and Counseling with STEAM based enrichment and various specials.
*Westmont is one of 3 Hummingbird Pediatric Centers and soon to be 4 with our new Lisle Pediatric Therapy & Aquatic Center opening summer 2026! *Our _professionally designed pediatric centers have multiple age-specific, multi-sensory gyms with all new equipment including a totally awesome 3D "MOUNTAIN" climbing wall! _All centers boast a brand new, modern, mid-century vibe therapist lounge complete with kitchen, workspace and conference areas. Elmhurst is also equipped with a life-skills ADL treatment area with full kitchen, grocery store and so much more!
Due to incredible growth fueled by an extremely strong referral network based on trust and success with our children and families, we are seeking an FTE who is an experienced pediatric speech language pathologist with their CCC (Certificate Of Clinical Competence) with at least 2 years of pediatric practice, feeding experience and AAC a plus and with their current IL SLP license.
This dream therapist would have an obvious affection of children and the positive energy and drive to collaborate with our experienced team of dedicated pediatric therapists. This position could be involved in our Hummingbird Children's Academy - our innovative therapeutic preschool (no home-based EI). We help children from birth on up with a variety of diagnosis including ASD, auditory processing, Down Syndrome, Dyslexia, Visual-Spatial, prematurity, failure to thrive, CP, developmental delays and many others. We offer a number of evidenced-based practices including Social Thinking Curriculum, PROMPT technique, Listening Therapy, Sensory Integration, SOS Feeding, Hippotherapy, Aquatic Therapy, NICU follow up care and Interactive Metronome. Our therapists' LOVE of thinking outside the box is fully supported by ownership and our team has fun collaborating with each other. We enjoy electronic medical records and billing (which means no more staying late to do reports or taking them home!) and strong office support so that our therapists can concentrate on what they love doing…helping our kiddos!
