About

Overview Our Graduate Design & Technical Pathway is the perfect place for aspiring Technical Managers, Architectural Technicians & Engineers or anyone with a natural interest in Architecture, Engineering or Design. This pathway is tailored to expose you to key areas of the business that will develop you into a solid all‑rounder within the technical field. It includes rotations within the business areas below, all constructed with key learning objectives in mind to equip you with every piece of knowledge you need.
Technical > Development > Commercial > Construction > Regional Finance > Technical
Program Details Based in our Exeter office from September 2026, you’ll rotate through all these areas over an 18‑month programme, starting and finishing within the Technical department. During your final rotation, transition talks are held with the possibility of moving into the technical team once all rotations are completed, taking the next step onto the Design & Technical career path.

Requirements We ask that you have a relevant degree at 2:2 or above and, due to the nature of the position, you will need a valid driver’s licence for travel. We recruit for potential and look for passionate, talented and committed people.
Responsibilities
Follow the pathway, completing all rotations to the best of your ability and meeting the targets set by each rotational supervisor.
Take all learning opportunities presented through the programme, seeking ways to further develop and challenge yourself.
Integrate into each team you work with, supporting them to achieve their goals and building lasting professional relationships.
Absorb knowledge, expertise and advice offered by our teams, ask questions and probe to deepen your understanding.
Contribute to continuous development within Vistry by proactively engaging in key business initiatives, projects and launches; offering ideas and suggestions where opportunities arise.
Be an active member of the Vistry Graduate community, supporting peers, taking part in (and occasionally hosting) quarterly Graduate meetings, attending masterclasses and professional development opportunities.
Act as an advocate for careers in Construction, representing Vistry Future Talent at career events, fairs and other engagements.
Serve as a buddy to new graduates, ensuring they are positively supported through their learning journey.
Commit to further study, qualifications and accreditations as appropriate.
Engage positively with your leaders and support system, meeting regularly to discuss progress and identify areas for development.
