Job Summary:
Our Seattle, Washington warehouse is seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to join our team. This critical role ensures the safe and efficient movement of materials within our facility, supporting our complex logistics operations. You will be responsible for operating forklifts to transport, load, unload, and stack materials, as well as assisting with general warehouse duties. Accuracy and a strong adherence to safety protocols are essential.
Responsibilities:
  • Operate forklifts to move pallets, raw materials, and finished goods throughout the warehouse.
  • Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers accurately and efficiently.
  • Stack and stage materials in designated areas, ensuring proper organization and accessibility.
  • Conduct daily inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance issues.
  • Assist with inventory control, including cycle counts and stock checks.
  • Pick and pack orders as needed, ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all OSHA and company safety standards.
  • Secure loads properly to prevent damage during transport.
  • Follow all guidelines for the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth warehouse operations and meet production goals.
Requirements:
Valid forklift operator certification and proven experience operating various types of forklifts are mandatory. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a warehouse or distribution environment. Must be able to perform frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds. A strong understanding of logistics and supply chain principles is beneficial. Excellent knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices is required. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Must possess excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy. Basic computer skills for inventory tracking are a plus. Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively in a team. Adherence to all PPE requirements is essential for this role.
