About
Our Nashville, Tennessee warehouse is looking for a proactive Warehouse Coordinator to oversee daily operations and ensure efficiency within our logistics hub. This position requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and a deep understanding of warehouse management principles. You will be responsible for coordinating activities, managing staff, optimizing workflow, and ensuring that all warehouse functions are performed safely and effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse staff, including order pickers, packers, and forklift operators.
- Develop and implement efficient warehouse workflows and procedures.
- Manage inventory levels, ensuring accuracy through regular audits and cycle counts.
- Oversee the receiving and shipping processes, ensuring timely and accurate dispatch of goods.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and promote a culture of safety awareness.
- Train new employees on warehouse procedures, safety protocols, and the proper use of equipment.
- Maintain equipment and ensure a clean and organized warehouse environment.
- Coordinate with other departments, such as procurement and customer service, to ensure smooth operations.
- Manage supplies and order necessary materials for warehouse operations.
- Implement strategies to improve overall logistics efficiency and reduce costs.
Proven experience as a Warehouse Coordinator, Supervisor, or similar role is essential. Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control principles is required. Must have experience with logistics operations and supply chain management. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills are necessary. Ability to perform frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds. A strong emphasis on safety, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is mandatory. Forklift operation experience is highly desirable. Must be proficient in data entry and reporting. A Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is a plus. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
