Your duties will involve conducting regular cycle counts, investigating inventory discrepancies, implementing control measures, and ensuring the efficient flow of goods within our logistics operations. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a deep understanding of warehouse inventory management best practices. You will work closely with warehouse staff, purchasing, and sales departments to resolve any inventory-related issues and to improve overall operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve all inventory discrepancies promptly.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Implement and enforce inventory control procedures and policies.
- Monitor inventory levels and report on stock status to management.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Coordinate with receiving and shipping departments to ensure accurate stock movements.
- Track and manage returned or damaged goods.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and proper handling of materials.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for inventory management processes.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a similar role.
- Proficiency in WMS and inventory management software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational and time-management abilities.
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain principles.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional lifting up to 30 pounds.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and the use of PPE.
