This role is essential for managing the flow of goods within our facility, ensuring that materials are moved, stored, and tracked efficiently. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for operating various types of equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, to transport raw materials, finished goods, and supplies. Your duties will include receiving shipments, verifying contents, stocking inventory, and preparing materials for production or shipment. A strong understanding of warehouse operations and Logistics is crucial for success in this position. We emphasize a culture of Safety , and all employees are required to follow strict safety protocols and utilize appropriate PPE at all times. This role requires physical capability, including regular Lifting of heavy items, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments; verify contents against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to move materials within the warehouse.
- Store materials in appropriate locations, ensuring proper rotation and organization.
- Pick and stage materials for production lines or outbound shipments.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and assist in maintaining inventory accuracy.
- Follow all warehouse Safety procedures and wear required PPE .
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks, which may involve significant Lifting .
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment to enhance efficiency and Logistics flow.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a warehouse environment.
- Certified forklift operator or willingness to become certified.
- Demonstrated ability to perform heavy Lifting (up to 60 lbs).
- Understanding of warehouse Logistics and inventory control principles.
- Commitment to upholding strict Safety standards and proper use of PPE .
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours if needed.
