We are searching for a meticulous Order Picker to join our thriving warehouse in Seattle, Washington. This role is key to ensuring our customers receive their orders accurately and on time. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for locating and retrieving specific items from warehouse shelves based on customer orders, using scanning technology and order sheets. Accuracy, efficiency, and a strong commitment to workplace safety are paramount. You will be an integral part of our logistics team, contributing to the overall success of our fulfillment operations.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick designated items from warehouse shelves according to order specifications using handheld scanners or pick lists.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy and prevent errors.
- Transport picked items to the packing or staging area.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to facilitate efficient picking.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including proper lifting techniques.
- Wear all required PPE, such as safety vests and gloves, at all times.
- Operate pallet jacks or other material handling equipment as needed, safely and efficiently.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including cycle counts and stock rotation.
- Report any discrepancies or issues with inventory or orders to supervisors.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics and fulfillment process.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an Order Picker or in a similar warehouse role is highly preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret order sheets and product labels accurately.
- Proficiency with scanning devices is a plus.
- Must be able to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Understanding of basic warehouse logistics and inventory control.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Commitment to following all safety regulations and wearing required PPE.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
