Seeking a diligent Material Handler for our bustling warehouse in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. As a Material Handler, you will be instrumental in the efficient movement and organization of materials throughout our facility. Your role is key to maintaining optimal inventory levels and supporting our overall logistics and production processes. We emphasize a safe working environment and provide the necessary training and equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Transport materials to and from production areas, storage locations, and shipping docks.
- Receive, identify, and stock incoming materials.
- Perform regular inventory counts and assist with stocktaking.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring clear pathways and proper storage.
- Follow all Safety guidelines and procedures, including proper use of PPE .
- Assist with shipping and receiving functions as directed, supporting the broader Logistics network.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a warehouse setting is required.
- Certification on relevant material handling equipment (e.g., forklift) is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical duties, including frequent standing, walking, bending, and Lifting up to 60 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and inventory control.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace Safety .
