About
Our state-of-the-art logistics facility in San Jose, California, is looking for diligent Material Handlers. In this role, you will be instrumental in the movement of materials within the warehouse. This includes receiving goods, staging items for processing, and transporting them to their designated locations. You will operate various material handling equipment and ensure that all items are handled safely and efficiently. This position requires physical stamina and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment, including the mandatory use of PPE. As a Material Handler, you are a key component of our supply chain, ensuring that operations run smoothly and product is moved with precision. Your dedication to safety and efficiency directly impacts our overall success in the logistics sector.
Responsibilities:
- Receiving, unloading, and inspecting incoming materials.
- Staging materials for order picking, packing, and shipping.
- Operating material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Transporting materials throughout the warehouse according to instructions.
- Verifying counts and item numbers against receiving documents.
- Loading outgoing shipments onto trucks.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
- Adhering to all safety regulations and procedures, including the use of appropriate PPE.
- Performing basic maintenance checks on equipment.
- Assisting with inventory management tasks as needed.
- Ensuring all tasks involving lifting are performed safely.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a material handler or in a similar warehouse role is highly desirable.
- Ability to operate various types of material handling equipment (certification may be required for some).
- Strong physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Good understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Detail-oriented and able to follow instructions accurately.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Must be comfortable wearing required PPE.
