Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Inventory Control Specialist to join our dynamic logistics team in Houston, Texas. This crucial role ensures the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory, contributing directly to operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for maintaining precise inventory records, conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing improvements to our inventory management processes. This position requires a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of warehouse operations. As an Inventory Control Specialist, you will play a vital part in optimizing stock levels, minimizing shrinkage, and ensuring that our distribution center runs smoothly. Your contributions will be essential in managing the flow of goods and maintaining the high standards our clients expect. We are committed to a safe working environment, and adherence to all safety protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is mandatory.
Responsibilities:
  • Conducting regular cycle counts and physical inventory checks to ensure accuracy.
  • Investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Maintaining accurate inventory records in the warehouse management system (WMS).
  • Analyzing inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Implementing and enforcing inventory control policies and procedures.
  • Collaborating with warehouse staff, purchasing, and sales teams to resolve inventory issues.
  • Monitoring stock levels and reporting any significant variances.
  • Ensuring proper handling and storage of all inventory items to prevent damage or loss.
  • Participating in ongoing training regarding logistics best practices and safety procedures.
  • Adhering strictly to all company safety regulations, including the mandatory use of PPE.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in inventory control or a similar warehouse role.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 30 lbs.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic understanding of logistics and supply chain principles.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures in a warehouse environment.
