Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts to transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely.
- Stack and organize inventory in racking systems and on the warehouse floor.
- Perform pre-shift inspections of forklift equipment and report any issues.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including proper lifting techniques and the mandatory use of PPE.
- Maintain accurate records of material movements and inventory locations.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure smooth workflow and timely order fulfillment.
- Keep work areas clean and organized, free from hazards.
- Support various logistics functions as assigned to optimize warehouse operations.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification and demonstrable experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution setting.
- Ability to perform frequent heavy lifting up to 60 lbs.
- Thorough knowledge of warehouse safety standards and procedures.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems is a plus.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including potential overtime.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Reliable, punctual, and possess a strong work ethic.
- Commitment to workplace safety and the correct use of PPE.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
