Title: Senior Consultant – Cyber Security for Safety
Salary: £60,000 to £70,000 per annum
Location: Any UK Frazer‑Nash Office
Working Pattern: Flexible hybrid (office, client sites, home)
Closing date: 24th December
Duties and Responsibilities
Lead the delivery of Cyber Security for Safety artefacts in line with relevant standards such as DO‑326A, ED‑202A, and ED‑203A.
Conduct threat analysis, risk assessments, and define security requirements and architectures.
Review and verify technical documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory and customer standards.
Integrate cyber security into safety‑critical software assurance activities (e.g. DO‑178C, DO‑254).
Support system and safety assessments aligned with ARP4754A, ARP4761, and DefStan 00‑970.
Engage with clients to understand needs, shape solutions, and influence programme outcomes.
Scope and cost technical work, and contribute to bids, proposals, and business development.
Mentor junior consultants and contribute to capability development.
Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and domains including aerospace, defence, and transport.
Essential Requirements
Practitioner-level experience in DO‑326A and associated standards (DO‑356A, DO‑355).
EUROCAE Aircraft Cyber Security Training or equivalent.
Proven track record delivering cyber security artefacts in safety‑critical environments.
Experience in safety‑critical software assurance (e.g. IEC 61508, DO‑178C, DO‑254).
Familiarity with system and safety assessment standards (ARP4754A, ARP4761, DefStan 00‑970, DefStan 00‑55, DefStan 00‑56).
Understanding of broader cyber frameworks (e.g. ISO/IEC 27001/27005, NIST SP 800‑53/800‑160).
Strong consultancy experience, including scoping, costing and proposal development.
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with experience leading technical teams.
Ability to work collaboratively across disciplines and organisations.
Security Screening Due to the nature of the work that Frazer‑Nash Consultancy undertakes, candidates will be required to undergo pre‑employment screening and must be able to satisfy clearance criteria for UK National Security Vetting.
