Responsibilities
Manage day‑to‑day sales on the show and oversee junior sales staff.
Lead by example – deliver personal sales targets and ensure junior sales staff meet theirs.
Proactively promote the show strategy across new and existing business.
Execute the campaign strategy set by the Event Director, covering exhibitors, sponsorship inventory, yield and revenue.
Ensure sales plan delivery on target and within budget, meeting outbound call volumes and face‑to‑face meetings.
Support junior sales staff in developing new revenue streams, including sponsorship.
Visit competitor and industry events, monitoring competitive activity.
Manage the re‑book process and team.
Role‑play the junior sales team regularly, sharing best practices.
Maintain and update the prospect database in line with CRM policy.
Ensure high‑quality communication with prospects, exhibitors, and partners.
Contribute to other duties as reasonably requested.
Execute the Event Director’s strategy for brand relevance and customer engagement, meeting visitor and exhibitor expectations.
Deliver and analyse exhibitor marketing strategy.
Manage the event floor plan and profitable show features.
Maintain accurate stand and sponsorship ledger; reconcile sales and accounting ledgers.
Provide monthly reports and forecasts on revenue, contribution, manpower, and actions to achieve budget.
Day‑to‑day sales team management – briefing, goal setting, performance monitoring, and coaching.
Conduct annual and mid‑term staff appraisals with the Event Director.
Foster relationships with suppliers, associations, media, and commercial partners.
Develop and execute marketing initiatives with the marketing team to meet visitor numbers and cost targets.
Manage key industry partnerships with the Event Director and Show Manager.
Qualifications
New business experience.
Exhibition experience.
Passion for motorsport.
Proficiency in Salesforce.
