BMS Design Engineer

About
Develop full BMS design packages from initial specification through to installation Interpret M&E/HVAC design documents and apply them to BMS controls strategies Produce technical documentation including points lists, schematics, and schedules Ensure all designs are compliant with Heathrow standards and site-specific protocols Specify appropriate hardware, software, field devices and control panels Coordinate with panel manufacturers and review schematic outputs Attend and participate in factory acceptance testing (FAT) and design validation Collaborate closely with internal engineering teams and client representatives Maintain version control and technical documentation throughout project phases Ensure timely delivery of all design outputs within agreed budgetary constraints Qualifications
Demonstrated experience in BMS design, ideally using Trend and/or Tridium platforms Strong understanding of HVAC principles and mechanical systems Proficient in AutoCAD and documentation software Attention to detail and a proactive problem-solving mindset Confident communicator, able to work collaboratively with internal and external teams Willingness to undertake security clearance including DBS checks Whatβs in it for you
