The role Were hiring a Machine Learning Recruiter to connect G-Research with the brightest minds in AI and machine learning worldwide the researchers defining the future of our field.
Our researchers face a daily challenge : disproving the efficient market hypothesis. To do that they harness massive compute power and cutting‑edge ML techniques from methods fresh off the conference circuit to entirely novel approaches developed in‑house. Textbook models wont cut it. Machine learning is integral to developing successful investment strategies and remains one of the core drivers of our performance and success. Among our people are researchers published at ICML and NeurIPS.
Key responsibilities of the role include :
Partnering with research leaders to define hiring priorities and build long‑term talent strategies
Identifying engaging and nurturing outstanding individuals across academia AI labs and industry
Traveling globally to connect with leading ML communities attend conferences and meet exceptional researchers where they are
Leading end‑to‑end recruitment for high‑impact ML and research roles from initial outreach to closing
Utilising data and market insight to guide hiring decisions compensation discussions and process improvements
Authentically representing G-Research ensuring candidates experience our collaborative intellectually demanding environment from their very first interaction
Who are we looking for The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience :
Significant experience recruiting in highly technical or scientific environments ideally within AI ML or quantitative research
Proven success hiring top‑tier technical talent in global and highly competitive markets
Confidence navigating complex searches and negotiations with care precision and discretion
Genuine curiosity about artificial intelligence data science and modern research methods
A structured analytical approach to search balancing insight evidence and instinct
The ability to operate effectively in a fast‑moving research‑driven environment with evolving priorities
